Management consultancy provider Winning Pitch plc has completed its first deal since floating on PLUS last December. The acquisition of Creative Business Achievements for £115,000 is the first step on the acquisition trail for John Leech, as he looks to raise up to £3 million of expansion capital.

Leech recently told M&A: “Our service of business development and the coaching of management, often in the start-up phase, is in high demand right now. We are looking at a few target firms in the UK with turnover of about £5 million – £8 million.”

The deal was satisfied by shares and cash, and is expected to be immediately earnings enhancing. Leech said of the deal: “The acquisition of CBA advances Winning Pitch’s growth strategy and provides us with a profitable business in Yorkshire.”
