Warwick Effect Polymers (WEP), a polymer technology company, has raised £1 million from
new and existing investors including Catapult Venture Managers, Mercia Technology Seed Fund and Oxford Technology VCT.
Warwick Effect Polymers (WEP), a polymer technology company, has raised £1 million from new and existing investors including Catapult Venture Managers, Mercia Technology Seed Fund and Oxford Technology VCT.
WEP is a University of Warwick spin-out that supplies its biopolymer technology PolyPEG to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Catapult led the funding
round, with an investment of £600,000.
Dr Richard Palmer, executive chairman of WEP, commented, º“We are very pleased to have secured this investment from Catapult, and the continued support from our existing investors in these difficult investment markets.”
Graham Mold, Catapult director, said, “WEP has a number of evaluation deals on a variety of drugs with highly reputable global players and the first licence is expected to be signed this year.”
