Servoca, an AIM-listed provider of recruitment services to police forces, local and national government, healthcare and education sectors, has acquired Day To Day Teachers (D2D), an education recruitment business, for up to £400,000.

D2D has been bought from its administrator, Vantis, and the deal will be funded from Servoca’s existing cash pool. The total cash consideration includes £360,000 for the debtor book and £40,000 for the business, trade and other assets.

Following the acquisition of Academics Holdings for £2 million in cash in March, Servoca aims to increase its presence within the education sector. Those with knowledge of the deal have said Academics’ management will run the new staffing and recruitment company, which provides teachers support staff and early year practitioners on a supply or temporary basis from four branches across the UK.

In the year to 31 January 2008, D2D turned over some £2.5 million with unaudited branch contributions of £0.2 million before interest and tax.
