Deals news for Leisure & Media VCT

Three of Leisure & Media VCT's four investments in the first half were media ventures.

Music catalogue publisher Audio Network received £251,000. Echo Publishing, which is behind London Sport magazine, obtained £328,000 and £300,000 went to outdoor advertiser Media Steps.

The trust, which still has £969,000 to invest from its C share issue earlier this year, also backed into a developer of children’s play centres. Kidspace Adventures received £225,000, the first tranche of a £700,000 total commitment.

UPDATE:

Audio Network – Provides production music for TV, advertising and film productions with a catalogue of 40,000+ original music tracks. Users can clear and download their selection for various platforms and also international use with a single flat fee.

Echo Publishing – The London Sport magazine is now closed (as of 2011)

Media Steps – Was sold to a private buyer in 2006 who changed the focus of the business.

Kidspace Adventures – As of 2011 it was running 2 indoor play centres and childrens party venues in Croydon and Romford.
