Lavendon powers £61.8 million deal

Powered equipment rental firm Lavendon Group has bolstered its offering with the acquisition of DK Rental Group, comprising three subsidiaries, for €87.8 million. (£61.8 million).

The acquired firm rents and sells powered access equipment, strengthening the existing services at Lavendon and marking a move into mainland Europe.

DK Rental Spain was bought for €24.2 million (£17.04 million), comprising €14.6 million (£10.3 million) cash, €3.6 million (£2.5 million) in loan notes with the remainder settled in shares.

Terms have also been agreed for the two other subsidiaries at the firm; DK Rental Belgium and DK Rental France, for a total €63.6 million (£44.8 million). The amount comprises €41.9 million (£29.5 million) cash €9 million (£6.3 million) in loan notes with the remainder satisfied in shares.
