Humberts has bolstered its national estate agency offering after buying London-based Thomson Currie for an initial £2.4 million.

The deal comprises £1.6 million in cash and £0.8 million in new Humberts ordinary shares (to be issued at 70p per share).

In addition there will be a deferred consideration of between £600,000 and £1.8 million, dependent on the financial performance of Thomson Currie. The consideration is payable over three years and will be satisfied two thirds in cash and one third in new ordinary shares.

A partner and specialist in company commercial work at solicitors firm Colman Coyle, Georgina Kyriacou, provided legal advice for the partners of Thompson Currie.

Colman Coyle has been Thompson Currie’s legal advisers for a number of years and has represented them in commercial, litigation, employment and property matters.
