Textiles manufacturer Hattersley Narrow Fabrics has bought Aladdin Sales & Marketing, a manufacturer of kerosene lamps and heaters, for an undisclosed sum.

Textiles manufacturer Hattersley Narrow Fabrics has bought Aladdin Sales & Marketing, a manufacturer of kerosene lamps and heaters, for an undisclosed sum.

As a result of the deal Aladdin’s 30 staff join the buyer, with sales and marketing director Tony Joint becoming financial director.

Accountant and tax adviser to the acquirer was provided by Robertshaw & Myers, long-standing adviser to Hattersley Narrow Fabrics.

The advisory team was led by assurance partner Trevor Lodge and tax partner Andrew Mitchell.

Hattersley Narrow Fabrics has a long history in the textile industry since its inception in 1789, and has been the sole supplier of wicks to Aladdin for some 50 years.
