Green Compliance buys Phoenix

Business support services company Green Compliance has acquired Phoenix Fire and Safety for £875,000.

The deal follows Green Compliance’s £1.6 million purchase of the pest control company Enviroguard in December, and was financed from the company’s £5.5 million fundraising on AIM in November.

John Prowse, CEO of Green Compliance, comments: ‘The acquisition of Phoenix represents our fifth acquisition within the fire protection sector. The depth of service offering within London and the South East has been further strengthened with this purchase.’

It is intended that Phoenix will be integrated into Green Compliance’s existing fire protection operations and Phoenix’s managing director, Jonathon Bromley, will assume a sales management role in the fire division of Green Compliance.

Founded in 1998, Phoenix provides fire protection services such as fire alarm installation and fire safety risk assessments to public and private sector customers in South East England and the capital. In 2010 the company declared a net profit of £197,438 on a turnover of £835,403, and it currently has nine staff.
