Finsbury Solutions, a supplier of spreadsheet management and control software, has acquired Compassoft Inc.The financial terms of the deal have not been given, however, the company has said that the deal would strengthen its product coverage and customer base.
UBC, the supplier of audio content and broadcast data software to the radio industry, is agreed to sell its commercial division to Global Traffic Network (GTN), a Nasdaq-listed provider of custom traffic and news reports to radio and television stations outside the US. GTN will pay between £9 million and £14.5 million for the unit.
RWE’s UK subsidiary npower has acquired UK building services company SPI Group for an undisclosed sum. The sale provides an exit for its private equity backer Lyceum Capital.
The Barclays Brothers, Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, who are behind The Telegraph group, have acquired the brand name of Woolworths for a nominal sum.
