Beringea invests in Monica Vinader

Venture capital firm Beringea has invested in the fashion jewellery brand Monica Vinader.

The investment will come from Beringea’s ProVen VCT and ProVen Growth & Income VCT, and will support Monica Vinader’s international growth plans. The amount invested in the company is undisclosed.

The designer Monica Vinader began producing a jewellery line in 2002 and the company began trading in 2006. The brand has been featured in magazines such as Vogue and has developed a celebrity following. Monica Vinader products are currently sold through retailers including Selfridges and Harrods.

The deal was led by investment director and partner at Beringea, Karen McCormick, who will join the Monica Vinader board as a non-executive director. McCormick comments that the brand is showing early signs of successful international penetration.

Beringea is an international venture capital firm with offices in London, Detroit and Shanghai. The firm launched its first VCT in 1996.
