Ryanair launches bid for Aer Lingus

Low-cost Irish carrier Ryanair has launched a takeover bid for rival Aer Lingus. Ryanair has reportedly written to Aer Lingus shareholders to request that they accept the €750 million (£672 million) bid for the airline.
