Oxford Capital Partners (OCP), the science and technology focused venture capital firm, has launched its fourth venture capital fund which has a target size of £20 million.

The new offering, entitled Oxford Gateway Fund No.4, is structured as an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund, which is structured so as to allow investors to benefit from significant Capital Gains Tax, income tax and inheritance tax advantages.

David Mott, investment director at OCP, believes the UK is strengthening its position when it comes to ‘taking applied science through to international commercialisation’. The investment strategy will focus mainly on unquoted science-based businesses in the central and southern UK region.
