Managed Support Services buys Environmental Control Services for £3.2 million.

Managed Support Services (MSS) has acquired Environmental Control Services (ECS) for £3.2 million.

AIM-listed MSS raised £3.1 million to finance the acquisition through listing around 44.3 million new shares.

London-based ECS provides mechanical and engineering services for corporate and commercial buildings, primarily within the M25 region. The company was founded by the two vendors, one of whom will leave upon completion and the other will take a senior group engineering role in MSS.

In the year to May 2010 ECS reported a turnover of £8.8 million and had net assets of £3 million.

Surrey-based MSS provides building services such as fire protection and energy management to companies across the UK. The London-based company’s clients include Arcadia Group and Knight Frank.
