Is your tech business being affected by coronavirus?

Here are 3 things you can do to protect your tech business and your employees from the sweeping coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus is spreading far more rapidly than people first thought and now a lot of small business owners are somewhat uncertain about their future. These concerns are being more and more justified by the month, but there are some steps that you can take to protect your business and your employees.

The world of tech

The world of tech is growing more and more by the day, and a lot of this comes down to entrepreneurs such as Tej Kohli. He has pumped millions into the industry so far and by the looks of things, it has really helped. The one thing that you do need to know is that tech has taken off so much that various industries now rely on it, even more so now the coronavirus has caused a lot of people to work from home. Tech businesses are now under more pressure than ever and this can put a strain on the industry.

Prioritise safety

If your business is one of the many that is currently under a lot of strain, then you need to do everything you can to try and prioritise safety. You need to take extra efforts to try and implement any CDC precautions and you also need to try and look after your business as much as you possibly can. You might want to encourage your employees, especially those who are vulnerable, to work from home. It may be worth trying to implement systems which allow them to do this, so harness your own software and use it to benefit those around you. Cough and sneeze etiquettes should also be implemented as much as possible.

Get the right message out

Once you have the right precautions put into place, you can then go about operating your business safely. It may also be worth trying to put your customer’s minds at ease and telling them the measures you are taking. If you provide a tech software that enables cross-channel communication and are now expanding your live chat hours so that you can serve more customers, then put this on social media. It’s also important that you tell your customers that you are taking the current measures seriously and that you are doing everything you possibly can to keep them safe.

Support your workers

If you are feeling the stress of having to serve even more workers than ever before then you can almost guarantee that your staff members feel the same. If you want to do something about this then you need to try and talk with them to help them through this difficult time. You also need to offer them as much support as you can in terms of flexibility as well. If you don’t then you may find that they end up not being able to provide your customers with the support they need, and this is the last thing that you want for your business.
