Juni double-clicks on another £38m

EQT Ventures has led a further $52m (£38m) funding round for Juni, the all-in-one banking solution for e-commerce entrepreneurs, alongside existing investor FJ Labs. This brings Juni’s total Series A to $73m and takes total funding to date to $76m. Other prior investors include partners of DST Global, Felix Capital and Cherry Ventures. The company plans to hire another 120 employees over the next 12 months, bring its system developers inhouse and offer entrepreneurs fast short-term loans.

Investors turn up Nothing with £36m fundraise

London-based wireless earbud manufacturer Nothing has raised $50m (£36m) from investors including iPod inventor Tony Fadell, YouTube personality Casey Neistat, Twitch co-founder Kevin Linn and Steve Huffman, co-founder and CEO of Reddit, as well as Google’s venture capital arm, GV.

Vidsy shoots high with £12m Series B round

Vidsy, a London-based video advertising production platform and content creation network, has closed its latest round of funding, securing $16.5m (£12m) in Series B funding. Len Blavatnik’s Access Entertainment led the round alongside existing investors Delin Ventures and GMG Ventures. The Series B round will be used to expand Vidsy into the US and to double employee numbers in the US and Europe. The technology platform, founded in 2014, connects Fortune 500 companies with content creators to produce video and digital content at scale.

Data firm 9fin crunches £8m Series A round

9fin, a data, news and predictive analytics provider for debt capital markets, has closed a £8m Series A round to fuel its expansion into the US. Redalpine led the Series A round alongside previous investor Berlin-based Fly Ventures. Angel investors Paul Forster, co-founder of Indeed, and Alan Morgan, co-founder of MMC Ventures, also participated, along with Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital and other high net worth individuals. The company will open a New York office in the wake of increased demand from existing customers in Europe. To date, 9fin has secured over £10m in funding, including backing from Seedcamp and AI Seed Fund.

RPA Supervisor plugs into £3.6m seed round

RPA Supervisor, the robot process automation (RPA) management company, has raised $5m (£3.6m) in a seed round led by MMC Ventures, whose previous investments include Gousto and Bloom & Wild.

WatchMyCompetitor clocks £2m funding round

WatchMyCompetitor, a competitor which enables businesses to track competitors’ online activity, including websites, social media, press and other sources, has raised £2m in an investment round led by Blackfinch Ventures and Praetura Ventures. Blackfinch and Manchester-based Praetura Ventures have both committed £1m each to the deal.

Arete checks in £1.6m investment in Travel Seen

Arete, the Liverpool-based multi-family investment office, has lead a £1.6m investment into start-up travel business Travel Seen. Run by Jen Atkinson, ex-CEO of ITC Travel Group, Travel Seen will use social media content to promote luxury travel destinations, as well as offer exclusive getaways inspired by favourite moments in TV, film and literature.

Fuel Ventures supplies £1.5m to Materials Market

Fuel Ventures had invested £1.5m in Materials Market, an online marketplace for building materials. Founded in November 2020, Materials Market helps address the current shortage in building materials from insulation products to timber, blocks and plasterboard.
