Commercial real estate consultancy Colliers CRE plc has bought Huthwaite (CBS), a Bristol-based building surveying and architectural consultancy.

Commercial real estate consultancy Colliers CRE plc has bought Huthwaite (CBS), a Bristol-based building, surveying and architectural consultancy.

The deal was agreed for £1.1 million, with £770,000 paid in cash from existing resources and £330,000 worth of shares. Part of the consideration, 40%, will be deferred over the next three years.

The vendor was advised by Philip Albery of law firm Bartons in Bristol, who has worked with company for several years.

“As Bartons is regularly involved in similar sized transactions there was a good understanding of the particular issues which would arise,” he added. “This enabled us to work together with the seller’s other advisers to ensure completion took place within an agreed timetable.”
