Support services group Capita has acquired information and communications technology (ICT) provider Synetrix for £75 million in cash.

Staffordshire-based Synetrix provides ICT services to private and public sector organisations across the Midlands and the South East and employs 193 staff.

Paul Pindar, chief executive of Capita, said that the deal would bring new expertise and customers to the group’s IT services business.

In the six months ending June, Capita reported turnover of £1.3 billion and pre-tax profits of £141.7 million.
